What an adorable little brunch spot. elEven though we were there at night the restaurant is a typical breakfast/brunch spot with stellar views of La jolla and the ocean. We were able to try the espresso martini and the classic coast toast which is a soufflé type french toast. I've never had an espresso martini however it was dangerously good. The coast toast wasn't a hit for me. It was really wet and gooey inside and that texture throws me off. I was able to try the homemade berry jam and it was excellent.

We came here for breakfast and yes you must make reservations because it's a popular restaurant. The restaurant sits across the street from the La Jolla Cove and The Cave Store. The seating is tight because the restaurant isn't very big. There is outdoor patio seating and indoor seating. There is only one gender neutral restroom so a line forms easily. The food was typical breakfast food. I didn't see anything special other the beautiful views and the location of the restaurant.

We came here for brunch right when it opened. There's no wait for the indoor seating. We ordered banana foster French toast, braised beef egg Benedicts and chilaquiles. They were great especially banana foster French toast. The view was great. We preferred the indoor seating as it wasn't too smelly with the sea lions near by.

Came here for breakfast on a Saturday morning. Parking can be rough but we found street parking. When we arrived we were seated immediately. There are plenty of tables both inside and outside and we were seated indoors, which was nice as there's a distinct smell from the sea. It was a bit busy, but our server attended to us very quickly. I ordered the sweet and savory coast toast, and my husband got the cove combo. The food came out quite quickly to our surprise and upon first glance, the portions looked great. There's a reason they're famous for the coast toast and wow, do not pass up on it. The texture is like a soufflé and the flavors of the sweet and savory toast were divine. My husband enjoyed his breakfast but the toast was all we could think about after. I would 100% recommend this spot for a nice brunch with a view!

We came here for Restaurant Week. Best to come extra early to find parking. Parking here is rough. Luckily for us we found parking right across from the restaurant. You'll be a little turned off by the smell after you park, but when seated there's enough of a breeze that the smell doesn't bother you. Our server was great. She was friendly, timed our next meal perfectly. Our appetizers were the clam chowder and crab cakes. Clam chowder was good. Had I a little curry taste to it. It was different. The crab cakes were delicious. I would definitely get that again. Our entrees were the lobster campanelle and chimuchurri hanger steak. The lobster pasta was Alfredo like. Soo much lobster. I like it, it was good. My bf said he liked his hanger steak. He kept commenting on how good the potatoes that came with it was good. For dessert, I had the bread pudding and my bf had the coast toast. Breading had a little spice in it. I liked it. It was unexpected but good. The coast toast is like a French toast. Very custardy. It came with ice cream. If you're lucky enough to get a seat outside the view is great. It was nice to see the sun set around the corner. We had a great experience here.
